Described as “analytical and detail-oriented”, Arcangel is said to understand complex concepts, making him a trusted resource for service providers. He regularly attends captive insurance conferences, often participating as a speaker, and enjoys networking opportunities to form beneficial personal connections while promoting North Carolina as a leading captive domicile.
Arcangel shared his thoughts on how captives must recruit to fill departing talent and the opportunities that lie ahead.
Do you feel that the captive insurance industry is a rewarding sector to work in?
Definitely. Our industry revolves around solving problems and providing alternative solutions; being a part of that process is a rewarding experience.
Would you recommend the captive insurance industry to young people as a future career path?
I would recommend this industry to anyone as a future career path. There is so much talent that is slated to leave this industry that needs to be transferred to the next generation and will eventually lead to big opportunities.
How do you feel that the captive insurance industry will evolve?
As I previously stated, our industry is here to solve problems. We know that problems will evolve and as a result our industry’s solutions will evolve too.
Do you think that your long-term future remains in the captive insurance industry?
There will always be a need for our industry and all the professionals that come together to form and maintain captive insurance companies. The only limitation will be if we cannot fill the talent gaps that currently exist.
