GABRIELLE MORELLA

Gabrielle Morella graduated law school from the University of Pittsburgh in 2017 and immediately started practising her law career in the captive insurance field through her law firm, Morella & Associates, a professional corporation, where she is now a partner.

In 2017, she began focusing her captive career on medical stop-loss insurance captives, and she is the owner of Complete Captive Management Services, a captive management firm that creates and manages captive insurance companies for employers.

Morella was described as a valuable resource to other attorneys in the captives space who handle issues relating to captive matters and as an exceptionally hard-working individual, who is always looking to learn and improve.

Do you feel that the captive insurance industry is a rewarding sector to work in?

Yes, as laws and regulations in this field are constantly evolving and changing. This aspect of the industry makes it challenging, yet exciting, to work in this space.

Would you recommend the captive insurance industry to young people as a future career path?

Yes, again as the captive insurance space is growing and evolving, this is a great sector for young professionals to grow their career, as professionals are always needed in this industry.

How do you feel that the captive insurance industry will evolve?

The captives industry will evolve with relevance as new business sectors are taking off, particularly regarding technology services, and captives are a great solution for alternative insurance structures for these growing industries.

Do you think that your long-term future remains in the captive insurance industry?

I do plan to continue my work in the captive insurance industry, through the law firm and through the captive management company. Our team has over 30 years of experience in this space, and we are always looking to grow with new opportunities.
